Annoucement from HOYA

Annoucement from HOYA on 2007/05/31 that HOYA and Pentax has entered into an Agreement on Management Integration.

But things that I care are
"HOYA and PENTAX aim to optimize their business
portfolios, focusing on the life care, optics, information technology, eye care and imaging systems
areas"
and
"Each of HOYA and PENTAX will continue to use its own brand after the management
integration. ".

I hope this merge will be good for Pentax and ofcourse for Pentax's user like me too!

Pentax future

Pentax has a long history back to 1910. But this year 2007 going to be very important year of Pentax because there might be a big change for them by Hoya takeover. May be by the end of this month we will have a clear answer that Pentax (imaging department) will survive or not.
